The company calls the distillery as Shirakawa Plant. The original owner of the plant was Mercian and Takara has bought the plant in 1947 but the details before 1947 is unknown. Shirakawa Plant was working just as a bottling plant and producing no spirit for a long time. Takara Shuzou closed the plant around 2002 and opened New Shirakawa Plant in another place but it is a food plant. The company has no plan to distill any malt whisky more.

Single malt: Shirakawa 32yo (Available in this site), Shirakawa 12yo. They are quite limited and it is almost impossible to find out.
